Spine and Back Pain

Back pain and disorders of the spine are among the musculoskeletal conditions that respond very well to neural therapy treatment. In this context, a physician trained in neural therapy always takes into account not only structural changes (e.g., a confirmed herniated disc), but also functional relationships such as blockages of individual spinal segments, abnormalities in muscular functional chains, active muscle trigger points, craniosacral connections, and even further-reaching links up to craniomandibular dysfunction (see “headache syndromes”). Based on a precise understanding of these systems, the neural therapeutic treatment of active muscle trigger points and myofascial trigger points plays a central role.

Typical indications (selection) include:

  • Lumbar spine syndrome (LWS syndrome) and lower back pain (“LBP”)
  • Lumboischialgia
  • “Sciatica” and pseudoradicular syndromes
  • Lumbar spinal canal stenosis
  • Lumbar spondylarthrosis
  • Painful lumbar spondylolisthesis
  • Sacroiliac joint syndrome
  • Coccyx pain (coccygodynia)
  • Thoracic spine syndrome
  • Intercostal neuralgia and chest pain
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Flank pain
  • Cervical spine syndrome and neck pain
  • Uncovertebral arthrosis
  • Cervicobrachialgia
  • Cervicocephalgia
  • Cervical spinal canal stenosis
  • All painful conditions following surgery
