Professional Background
I am Dr. med. Falko Bengen, born in 1967. I have been a board-certified specialist in internal medicine (Germany) since 2005 and hold additional qualifications in naturopathy, sports medicine and emergency medicine. My area of expertise is comprehensive neural therapy according to Huneke (see there), with more than 17 years of clinical experience.
After passing my final state examination in 1994 (Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany), I initially focused on conservative and surgical orthopedics in 1995 and 1996.
However, since I felt a much stronger pull toward general medicine, I switched to the specialty of internal medicine in 1997, which is an essential component of general medicine. Including work in the emergency room and as an emergency physician, intensive care medicine, and all subspecialties of internal medicine, I continued my training in this broad field for 7 years. Having already heard about Huneke’s neural therapy and attended an introductory course, I was then able to induce a “second phenomenon” according to Huneke in 2004 during a ward round in a hospital setting (see “Huneke’s Neural Therapy”). The patient’s right-sided upper abdominal pain disappeared within a few seconds after I began injecting her scar near the navel following keyhole surgery (laparoscopy)! As a result, I decided to study Huneke’s neural therapy immediately after completing my acupuncture training and to become certified as a neural therapist, including passing the exam (www.IGNH.de).
Until the end of 2006, I then worked for two years at the Hospital for Naturopathic Medicine in Munich (www.krankenhaus-naturheilweisen.de), where I gained extensive experience in acupuncture and took my first steps in Huneke’s neural therapy.
From 2007 to 2021, I ran my own practice as a family physician and internist in Munich (Bavaria, Germany), specializing in naturopathic treatments and Huneke´s neural therapy. There, I was able to gradually integrate this treatment approach into all areas of medicine and practice neural therapy on a daily basis for over 14 years.
In 2021, I moved to Switzerland (Winterthur), where I continued my medical practice as a family physician and, in particular, as a neural therapist.
In the meantime, I live with my family in Tenerife and offer medical consultations and treatments — particularly neural therapy according to Huneke — through house calls.
